TOUR PLAN

01

Day 1 : 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM
CITY- LODGE

Our tour start 9:45 am. We could pick you up from your hostel, airport or bus station. We will have 2 hours by car, the first part will be by highway and the second part will be by road until we reach the Tambopata River, near the border of the Tambopata National Reserve. Our boat will be waiting to take us to our lodge. Arriving at the lodge, we will be greeted with a welcome drink and the manager will explain everything we need to know about our lodge and its surroundings.
After lunch we will do an introductory walk first in a secondary forest and then in a primary forest full of huge trees, vines and vines, at the same time we will talk about the most important economic activities of this region. The chances of seeing some brown capuchin monkeys and squirrel monkeys will always be possible. We will arrive at an observation tower more than 45 meters high where we can see some types of birds such as toucans, macaws, etc., etc. We will have a spectacular view of the Amazon from the top of the tower and a spectacular sunset.
When it gets dark we will return to our lodge to take our flashlight and go to our boat and we will do one of the most exciting activities… it will be alligator watching, we will go looking for black and white alligators along the river bank with a large spotlight , we might see more capybaras and we always have a good chance of seeing an ocelot or jaguar along the river too.

Day 2 : 5.00 AM to 6.00 p.M
LODGE-MACAW CLAY LICK

To go to the Tambopata macaw clay lick. We must be ready around 5:00 am, have a hot drink to have some energy and take our boat up stream Tambopata River for 1 hour. Crossing the checkpoint. We will have the entire sunrise to ourselves on the boat, and we will have a very good chance of spotting coastal birds, capybaras, white caimans and why not mention… A jaguar, I like to say, we have a 20% chance of seeing one of these guys on the river bank.
Arriving at our destination, we will have a multicolored spectacle, green, red, blue parrots and macaws and yellow macaws around us, flying and making loud noises, this behavior of these birds will be spectacular. We explain the reason why these birds go to the Cliff to eat clay every day of the year. We will go from 6:30 am to 11:00 am approx. Our breakfast will be in front of the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick.
At the end of this activity, on our way downriver to the lodge, we will have one more opportunity to see more fauna such as alligators, wild ducks, capybaras, etc. Upon arriving at our hostel we can enjoy our new pool until our lunch.
We will have lunch, have some free time and then we will take a walk to learn more about the most important things about medicinal plants, quinine “good for malaria”, cat’s claw, dragon’s blood. , and AYAHUASCA “the master plant of shamans” are some of the plants that we will find during this interesting walk. This afternoon we will climb to the highest observation canopy, it is 50 meters high and the view of the Amazon basin is spectacular from here.
We will return to our lodge and then in the evening before dinner or after dinner we will have a short night walk, the sounds of the night, insects, spiders, tarantulas, frogs and maybe snakes will make this night walk something difficult to forget . .
